Undergraduate Systems Engineering Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Systems & Information Engineering.

The admissions forms are all submitted electronically in late March/early April. You will receive an email from the SEAS Undergraduate Dean's office with information on exactly how to submit your preferences.

Once you select Systems as your first choice, you will be assigned an advisor in SIE. You will receive an email about how advising will operate.

If you are not a first year student and would like to apply to transfer to the SIE Department, please complete a Change in Course of Study form, which may be obtained in Thornton A-122. In most cases, you will apply to the major with the first year students using the same process outlined above.

Please note that the major is capped each year, based on available resources. Admission to the program is based on space availability, academic performance, and extracurricular activities. The SIE Undergraduate Studies Committee will meet to review all applications shortly after the Spring term ends and decisions will be communicated sometime during the summer.
