2005 IEEE Systems &
Information Engineering Design Symposium
IMPORTANT
DATES
(extended deadline) February 18, 2005: Electronically submit 200-500 word abstracts
for contributed papers not previously published or presented. Abstracts
should explicitly address:
- the systems analysis or design problem being solved;
- relevant literature
and the state of the art (motivation);
- the methodological approach developed or adopted; and
- preliminary results
and implications.
Abstracts should be submitted electronically. E-mail abstracts to sieds05@virginia.edu.
Submission of an abstract implies that, if the abstract is accepted,
a corresponding six-page conference paper will be produced and an author
will attend SIEDS’05 to present the paper.
Travel and registration scholarships are available. Please email sieds05@virginia.edu for more information.
Author’s Kits may be obtained electronically.
February 21, 2005 (March 7, if you submit an abstract after February 4): Contributors will be notified whether or not their
paper has been accepted.
March 15, 2005: Signed copyright
form required
for paper publication must be received. Please fax to 434-982-2972, attention

April 1, 2005: Registration deadline
for the symposium.
April 8, 2005: Authors provide a manuscript copy of
their papers to the Publications Chair, as per instructions in the Author’s
Kit.
At least one author of the paper must be registered for the conference.
