From I-64:
Following signs to the UVA Information Center, get off at exit 118B. Almost immediately thereafter take the Route 29 Business exit. Stay on Fontaine Avenue for approximately one mile, then turn left on Alderman Road. After about 0.2 miles, turn right on Stadium Road. Turn left on Whitehead Road. Olsson Hall is the first building on the right. Come in to room 114 for a parking pass. Olsson Hall: UVA Online Map G, building 38

From I-66 via US Route 29:
Take I-66W from Northern Virginia past Manassas. Take exit 43A (Route 29 South - Gainesville). Proceed to Charlottesville, where Route 29 becomes Emmet Street. Pass University Hall basketball arena on the right. Proceed straight through the traffic light at the intersection of Route 250 Business (University Avenue/Ivy Road).  Approximately 1/2 mile later the road forks; stay to the right. Turn right on Stadium Road. Turn right on Whitehead Road - Olsson is the first building on the right. Come in to room 114 for a parking pass. Olsson Hall: UVA Online Map G, building 38

From Olsson Hall to the Nuclear Reactor Building:
Take Whitehead Road west (so the Stadium is on the left), and make a right onto Alderman Rd. Next, make a left at the light (the next intersection) onto McCormick Rd. At the 3 way stop, turn left (which is also McCormick Rd.). Make the next right onto Old Resevoir Rd. Go straight through the fenced gate and up the big hill around the reactor. Parking is available there. There is a call button at the front door that must be used in order to gain access to the building. Nuclear Reactor Building: UVA Online Map H, building 12

Visitor Parking:
  • Departmental Parking Spot - Please park in the Wide Area Networks spot (indicated on map). Otherwise, please park anywhere in the same lot. Please to to room 114 Olsson Hall to obtain the appropriate parking pass. Please  give the office staff the name of the faculty member/group with whom you are meeting.
  • University of Virginia parking garage (with hourly fees) -- located on the left about half a block after the blinking light on Emmet Street. Olsson Hall is about a ten minute walk - proceed down Newcomb Road and turn right on McCormick Road. The Engineering School is right across the street - the main office is in Thornton Hall. Olsson Hall is located after Darden Court and Thornton D-wing.
  • UVA Health Sciences Parking garages (across from University Hospital).
  • Hourly parking on "the Corner" in municipal garages on Elliewood Avenue, Fourteenth Street, and Wertland Avenue.
